Sammy's Story
After over a decade dancing professionally in Australia and around the world, gracing stages at famous theatres such as The Moulin Rouge in Paris, Sammy returned home to Port Stephens, with a focus to get her body pain-free in a healthy, enjoyable and most importantly, sustainable manner. After years of injuries and various treatments from physiotherapists and exercise specialists around the world she began studying fitness, with Pilates as her main focus. It was with dedication, passion and a true belief in Pilates and its benefits that Sammy opened Core Central in 2012.
Sammy is accredited with an impressive list of qualifications in the fitness industry and her specialty field of Pilates. Along with expanding her boutique pilates studio, in Nelson Bay and an online fitness platform, Virtual Pilates. Sammy is also a course facilitator for Studio Pilates International. Training & qualifying aspiring Pilates instructors in anatomy, matwork & reformer pilates.
In 2019 Sammy & her husband welcomed their daughter, Esmeralda, into the world and since then the studios structure has changed. Now Sammy balances her time between her family, facilitating pilates education in Sydney and Core Central in Nelson Bay.
